Privacy policy

The short version

This site has no accounts and nothing to log into. It does have two forms, and if you use one we collect what you type so we can answer you.

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not buy data about you from anyone else.

What the forms collect

There are two. The quote form on the guide pages asks for your name, a phone number or an email address, and a description of the item you are asking about. The eBay Live waitlist asks for your name, email and phone.

Both also record which page you submitted from, so we know what you were reading when you asked. Both include a hidden field and a timing check used only to catch automated spam.

A phone number or an email is required because otherwise we cannot reply. Everything else is optional.

Where that goes

Submissions are sent from our server to GoHighLevel, the customer relationship system San Diego Jewelry Buyers uses to manage enquiries. Your details become a contact record there so that whoever picks up your enquiry can see what you asked.

GoHighLevel processes that data on our behalf under their own terms. We do not pass your details to anyone else, and nothing you submit is used for advertising.

Photographs or descriptions sent for an evaluation are used to give you an opinion on the item. Nothing is published without asking you first.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them to serve you, and we remove them on request. Ask and we will delete yours.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read and which links are followed. It records the page visited, the referring site, an approximate region and the device type.

It does not tell us who you are, we do not try to identify individual visitors, and we do not join analytics data to enquiry records.

You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking analytics in your browser. The site works normally either way.

What leaves this site

Links to the shop, the booking page, eBay and social profiles take you elsewhere, and once you follow one that service's own policy applies rather than this one. That includes San Diego Jewelry Buyers, Shopify, eBay, Google, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

Those links carry a tag saying which page sent you. It identifies the page, not you.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics may set its own, and blocking them does not affect anything here.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. California residents have these rights under the CCPA, and we apply them to anyone who asks rather than checking where you live first.

We have never sold personal information and do not intend to.

Children

This site is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If this policy changes the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described rather than quietly folded in.
