What they share is that the fakes are better here than almost anywhere. A convincing Love bracelet is a genuinely difficult thing to call across a counter, which is why we take the screws seriously.
What we look at on a Cartier.
Love and Juste un Clou serials
Serial placement, screw alignment and thread quality. The screws should turn correctly with the right driver and sit flush. Fakes usually get one of those three wrong.
Watch dial and crown
The sapphire or spinel cabochon in the crown, the printing on the dial, and the hidden signature many references carry in the numerals.
Gold that tests as gold
Purity marks are checked against what the metal actually tests as, not taken from the stamp alone.
