Versace here is an eyewear collection more than anything else, and that is the honest description rather than the flattering one. If you came looking for handbags this is the wrong page and the handbag category is the right one.
Eyewear is the least risky way into a designer house and the easiest place to overpay. The same frame is boutique money new and a fraction of that a season later.

Model and colour codes
The code printed inside the temple has to correspond to a frame that was actually produced in that colourway. Fakes routinely invent combinations.
The Medusa and Greca detailing
Depth, symmetry and finish of the Medusa head. It is the most copied element on the brand and the most consistently copied badly.
Hinges and lens marks
Hinge construction and action, plus the etched marks on the lenses where the model carries them.
Straight, not flattering.
- Eyewear is a wearable purchase rather than an investment. Buy the pair you will actually wear.
- Original case and papers help but do not transform the number.
- Condition is nearly all of it. Scratched lenses are most of the value gone.
